Volunteer Here

WWOOF’ing

Wild Culture Farm hosts an active Volunteer Program facilitated through the WWOOF (World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) organization.

Thus far, we’ve enjoyed hosting and sharing this experience with wwoofers from France, Brazil, Malta, Germany, the UK, and all over the USA.

HELLO, Welcome to our busy homestead and farming project! There’s plenty happening here year round. See more pics here: https://www.instagram.com/wildculturefarm/

PLEASE NOTE:

This is a very active and dynamic farm. You will be sore and fatigued for the first 3 weeks. Once you get acclimated, you’ll be more physically fit than you could ever imagine. And the path to get there will have been a meaningful one. Only the passionate need apply. This is an intense 3 month, 6 day per week visitor experience.

OPENINGS:

As of now, we need confident, passionate, peppy, optimistic people (3 months requirement however we will consider shorter stays for those out of country).

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: It’s critical that you don’t just send us a generic email. Be sure you don’t leave out any of the requested material. Your first email to us is part of the interview to help us filter out and find the best.

1) Email us with a PICTURE.

2) BRIEF BIO & WHY you want to work on a farm?

3)Desired start and finish dates as well as flexibility with those dates. Please NOTE, we have to give priority to those who can commit to 3 months. (We will consider less time for foreigners)

4) Dietary restrictions if any.

5) You must be 21 or older.

Our team has been charged with the mission of creating a well balanced ecosystem and rich soils that produce nutrient-dense foods. We grow great tasting nutrient rich food while treating the environment and the animals with respect. We’re looking for those who want to experience what real farm & homestead work is like on small, varied, & lush farm.

We have… pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and a tortoise & a llama. We also care for vegetable gardens and a young orchard. We ask for a 2 -3 month commitment with longer stays optional if it’s a fit. The work could include fence repair, garden work, running errands, organic grounds keeping, compost and vermiculture management, canning, livestock handling and more. Just tell us what you’re good at doing! We are looking for a traditional foods farm to table chef but until then, you will prepare your own meals from a fully stocked kitchen. Boarding options are extremely nice and clean. We can NOT accept children or pets. Town is walking/biking distance but we can provide occasional rides too. We have wireless internet service for your devices.

If you are interested in how to run a small scale ecosystem based farming operation where plants, animals and insects are intertwined and interdependent on each other. Or if learning how animals and agriculture benefit one another. Then this might be a good fit.

Come help us grow!

If interested in applying for a position, please send a resume and cover letter to farmwildculture@gmail.com. Please mark WWOOF Application in the subject line of the email.
