“Don’t eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food.”
– Michael Pollan
Fostering diversity in the diet, through access to an ever-wider number of plant foods, is a core mission of ours. We want everyone to have access to a nutritious and delicious rainbow of food. We grow beyond organic annual vegetables along with perennial, and hard-to-find wild and medicinal fruits and vegetables. Following permaculture principals, we’re growing food within an arm’s reach wherever we can.
We’ve dedicated an acre to rotational crops but half of the food we grow is found in what was formerly ornamental landscape (we now call it foodscape), trellised along fence lines, framing pathways, or as understory to larger trees.
